Originally Tauranga Railway Wharf | Fisherman’s Wharf:  In 1927, The New Zealand Railways Department and the Tauranga Harbour Board built a railway wharf on the newly reclaimed seafront side of Dive Crescent.  Work started in 1925 and was completed in 1927. The first vessel to berth at the new railway wharf was the towing launch Lady Eva from Russell at 6am on 26 February 1926 before the dredging was complete.
